Heidi performs on cruise liners, gritty comedy cabaret venues, and at many clubs and corporate events.
Full length stage shows include family favourites; HMAS Hoops – Nautical Adventure and Circular Circus – A show that revolves around the Hula Hoop. Super Science Circus is a blast. Her solo show, “Lost and Found – The Sugar Candy Show” premiered at the inaugural Sydney Fringe Festival and Heidi Hodeo Rodeo premiered at the Sydney Children’s Festival.
Circus cabaret: Heidi has performed in the round in Circus Monoxide’s Big Top, The Tiny Top, The Grande Petite Amy Amore’s Love Circus, but her real passion is the wild thrill of late night comedy cabaret. She has generated laughter in Sydney’s premier cabaret, magic and burlesque venues including, Slide, 34B and with Six Quick Chicks and The Gangsta’s Ball.
Heidi is a children’s favourite: Sydney Children’s Festival, Australia Day Darling Harbour, National Maritime Museum, Razzamataz Show, Guest Entertainer P&O Australia. She constructs and performs educational shows for youth audiences in regional Australia.
Heidi is a festival favourite: Vivid Sydney, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Linz Festival Pflasterspektakel Austria, Australia’s National Circus Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Port Fairy Folk, Hoopla Festival Sydney, World’s Funniest Island, Tamworth CMF, Riversdale Festival, Kiss Arts Festival and Viva La Gong.
Heidi has been a recipient of awards, mentorships and prizes: The Bundanon Estate AIR, Merrigong Theatre DP, Legs on the Wall/NIDA Vaudeville Project, MerrigongXReboot, and even received the KidsFest Big Kid Award in 2012.
Heidi has appeared in: “Stop Laughing This is Serious – Episode 6” ABC, ABC News and Weather, Good Morning Australia, My Kitchen Rules. Heidi has featured in print, “You Do What? – Heidi Hoops, Professional Hula Hooper” Good Weekend, SMH. She has been the subject of, Archibald Prize winner, Wendy Sharpe’s paintings and appears in Louise Hawson’s book/ exhibition 52 Suburbs.
